This Community Studio is designed as a supportive working session for participants to develop their application materials—whether for undergraduate college or MFA program applications. The hour will focus on peer feedback, collaborative writing, and reflection.

IV Teach

In this IV Teach Committee Studio, participants will reflect on their experiences as educators, students, mentees, and mentors; share updates on current teaching initiatives; and identify areas where deeper educational support is needed within the Girls Write Now community.

July 23 – 9:00 pm
Mentor Support & Share

This month, we’ll identify and validate those awkward moments of mentoring — silence in conversation, ghosting — and talk through how to weather them. We’ll also fortify ourselves with humor and confidence we can draw upon in those moments.
