Our new book lands April 23 with HarperOne! This hands-on guide is conceived of, written, and edited by mentors, mentees, and alum of Girls Write Now!
Girls Write Now On The Art Of The Craft: A Guidebook To Collaborative Storytelling
Drawing from our dynamic curriculum and our writers’ own personal experiences spanning decades, this book is structured around three magical themes—Creation, Combination and Transformation. It is an alchemy for aspiring writers to develop their craft, including tips, insight, prompts, and advice on the writing and publishing process, as well as critical thinking about the future of storytelling.
Featured in our 25th anniversary book, The Art of the Craft, mentee Salma Elhandaoui responds to mentor—and mentee alum—Antonia Bruno’s piece Requiem.
“Writing is a spiritual practice—it’s about connection. It’s connecting very deeply to something.”
Antonia Bruno, Current Mentor & Mentee Alum
