Athena Devlin is Director of the Publishing Certificate Program at The City College of New York.
Prior to leading the Certificate Program, Dr. Devlin served as Associate Professor of English and American Studies, and as Chair of St. Francis College’s Department of Literature, Writing, and Publishing. In her role as Director of CCNY’s Publishing Certificate Program, Dr. Devlin advocates for equity and diversity in publishing and media fields, oversees the Program’s curriculum, and works to build new partnerships with publishing houses, literary agencies, and nonprofits whose mission is to create more equity and diversity in the industry.
She earned her Ph.D. From the University of Massachusetts Amherst and BA from Barnard College.
