Elissa Weinstein is a goldsmith, Professor of Literature, and writer. She makes one-of-a-kind handcrafted jewelry, and specializes in classical design with a modern twist. In addition to making jewelry, she has taught part time in the English Department at Hunter College in New York City. She holds a B.A. from Princeton University, where she forged an Independent Major in Feminist Literature before "Women's Studies" was adopted as a field of inquiry, and holds a Ph.D. in Literature from UC Santa Cruz. She is currently at work on a new collection of jewelry and genre bending writings.
