Position Summary
Girls Write Now’s Salesforce & Systems Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of Girls Write Now’s Salesforce CRM. They will play a vital role leading the development of our Salesforce CRM to be fully integrated with other key systems—WordPress and G-Suite—and a host of third party tools (FormAssembly, Conga, Campaign Monitor, Notion, and others). Deeply invested in these systems for well over a decade, Girls Write Now is in the midst of a significant growth period. The Salesforce & Systems Administrator will make day-to-day operations as efficient as possible while also guiding the organization with cutting edge systems solutions for the future.
We are looking for a proactive individual with a deep understanding of Salesforce who can help us continually enhance our platform, gathering requirements and feedback, designing scalable best practice solutions, and managing the product road map. They will be immersed in both our current setup and our business objectives in order to quickly identify areas of improvement. They should be comfortable with change management and governance, as well as communicating, prioritizing and managing all aspects of a Salesforce project. They should be proficient in handling a user management system including support tickets, training, and designing solutions with user satisfaction a priority.
The Salesforce & Systems Project Manager position is highly cross-functional, requiring extensive interaction with team members across multiple departments (Programs, Communications, Development and Operations) and stakeholders at all levels to help design, implement and oversee workflow and integration changes, translating technical information into layperson’s terms, clearly explaining design options and their potential impact. We see this role as a Product Owner for our suite of tools, guiding the rest of the organization with best practices and supporting us in prioritization and escalation. This role will also serve as primary liaison to our Salesforce vendors.
This role is part technical project manager, part administrator, part Salesforce analyst and 100% dedicated to the Girls Write Now mission. Qualifications and Background
- Strong Salesforce product knowledge with at least 3-5 years of Salesforce administration hands-on experience with a track record of success
- Certified Salesforce Administrator
- At least one additional Salesforce certification e.g. Platform App Builder, Nonprofit Cloud Consultant
- DevOps/release management experience preferred
- Deep experience with WordPress and G-Suite Administration
- Bachelor’s/Postgraduate degree, or professional qualification
Responsibilities
This is a varied business facing role, managing the following responsibilities:
Planning & Maintenance:
- Identification and gathering of requirements, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience
- Creation of a platform roadmap, defining priorities and liaising with stakeholders
- Data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed
- Unused or under-utilized platform features
- Sandbox environment
- System maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, and Optimizer
- Technical documentation
Users:
- New user and ongoing user training
- User support tickets
- Monitoring and improving user adoption
- The communication of any platform changes to end users and stakeholders
Partners/Vendors:
- Salesforce and IT vendors (main staff point)
- Integrated applications and third party suppliers including FormAssembly, Conga, Campaign Monitor, Notion and others)
In Coordination with Partner Resource:
- All aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, sharing rules
- Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards and reports
