
Welcome to Video for Performance & Digital Storytelling! In this mini course, you will learn about different video techniques, how to tell a story through visuals, and explore sharing your video in multimedia, and learn to reimagine your writing through revision.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this course, participants will have:
- Gain a basic understanding of how video can be used for storytelling for self-expression.
- Learn basic video/audio editing on a non-linear timeline.
- How identity work can be translated into video work as a tool to tell creative stories.
- Understand the power of visual storytelling to address political and historical subjects.
- Find ways to express oneself using digital media and storytelling through a series of abstract but related sequences of images and video segments, along with text and audio overdubbing.

- Mentor/Mentee: Meet 2-3 times per month.
- Peer Mentee/Peer Mentee: Meet 2-3 times per month.
