About the Event

Join us for an engaging Committee meeting exploring the theme of Tech Ethics through the lens of mentoring, intergenerational connection, writing, and community. Together, we’ll reflect on how emerging technologies like AI are shaping our lives and creative practices, and consider the ethical questions they raise in our work with youth.

We’ll begin by connecting through reflective questions about how we use—or choose not to use—AI in our personal and professional lives. Tech Committee members will then share unique perspectives on AI ethics, ranging from creative approaches to industry insights from those working in the tech space.

Afterward, we’ll move into guided breakout discussions to think critically and collaboratively about AI’s impact. We’ll close with a large-group report-out and share updates on opportunities for the Tech Committee to support upcoming initiatives.

This session is designed to spark meaningful dialogue, deepen understanding, and help us collectively shape ethical, inclusive approaches to technology in our mentoring and writing community.
