Rooted in Nature: Turning creativity into environmental advocacy with Robyn Lam & Hannah Grandine.
We hope to inspire creative writing and art-making that reflects on the relationship between humans and native plants and encourage participants to turn their creative process into environmental advocacy projects.
This month, we will discuss how to contribute to a more sustainable environment, with a deep dive on native plants as valuable resources to our cause. We’ll also explore writing and art as tools for advocating a healthier world.

Meet the Studio Facilitators
Robyn Lam
Robyn Lam is a passionate writer, programmer, and advocate for women's empowerment and social justice. As the founder of Open Expression Journal, an online literary platform, she amplifies diverse voices through poetry and other creative forms. A finalist for the 2024 Los Angeles Youth Poet Laureate Program, she is also actively engaged in environmental advocacy, seeking to raise awareness about pressing ecological issues. In her free time, she enjoys baking, swimming, and reading.
