Creative nonfiction, especially personal essays, comes in many different forms from memoir to nature writing to lyric essays. In this studio, we’ll delve into these many different forms through readings and prompts as a way to discover more about ourselves and the complex world we live in.

This month, we will explore the lyric essay as a genre of creative nonfiction. Attendees will read some examples together and then practice writing their own lyric essays!
