In this program, participants will develop essential skills for effective time management and independent living by creating personalized time management tools and reflecting on their values and priorities. They will explore key topics such as making impactful changes, leading from any position, and managing conflicts effectively.
The curriculum includes strategies for active listening, basic professionalism, and networking, with a focus on cultivating meaningful connections. Additionally, participants will receive social coaching supported by mentors on demand, helping them apply these skills in real-world scenarios and understand the traits of successful Changemakers.

- Scheduling Techniques: Create effective schedules using calendars, to-do lists, and digital apps to manage your time and meet deadlines
- Goal Setting: Set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) goals and develop actionable plans to achieve them
- Networking Strategies: Understand and apply effective networking strategies for building professional relationships, including how to initiate and sustain meaningful connections
- Professional Etiquette: Demonstrate appropriate professional etiquette in both virtual and in-person networking scenarios
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Demonstrate problem-solving skills and adaptability in professional scenarios, handling challenges with a positive attitude

Collegiate Leadership Journey Package
As a mentee or mentor in the Collegiate Leadership Journey, you’ll have access to a collection of online mini courses designed to help your personal development. You’ll be paired with a mentee or mentor for the duration of the journey, and you’ll meet with them at least twice each month. You’ll attend at least one community engagement experience a month – there are many to choose from to accommodate all of your interests and everyone’s schedules.
Collegiate Leadership Courses
Participants will engage in a series of workshops and guided sessions focused on key aspects of leadership. Courses within “Collegiate Leadership” cover these topics and more:
- College Readiness
In preparation for college success, develop essential skills across various domains: First, prioritize your academic journey by evaluating factors like campus environment, diversity, and extracurricular opportunities to ensure they align with your educational goals. Second, grasp the nuances of crafting a compelling personal statement, distinct from other essays, highlighting your academic achievements, community involvement, values, and future aspirations effectively. - Making Change: Leading From Where You Are
We will review concepts like micro-leadership to show how each of us can lead from where we are, and principles like “Confidence without Attitude,” “Question the Status Quo,” and “Beyond Yourself” to provide a framework for stepping into our own unique changemaker potential. These insights will help in developing the mindsets and leadership skills needed to navigate, shape, and lead change and to make a positive impact in our lives, career, and communities.

Collegiate Leadership Mentoring
Mentees and mentors in the Collegiate Leadership Journey will be matched for one cycle.Mentoring requirements depend on pair type:
Peer-to-Peer: Meet 2 times per month and, as a pair, attend an engagement event at least once per month.
Mentor/Mentee: Meet 2-3 times per month and, as a pair, attend an engagement event at least once per month.
This journey requires a cycle-long commitment to a mentorship relationship. If you’d like to mentor but cannot commit to this requirement, click here.
Collegiate Leadership Community Experiences
Mentees and mentors in the Collegiate Leadership Journey must attend at least one Community Experience per month. It is strongly recommended that they attend Exploratory Community Studios, College & Career Chats, and Salon Experiences.

Collegiate Leadership belongs to the College 360 Adventure.
Journeys in the College 360 Adventure focus on the process of getting into college and making the most of your college experience. It is perfect for mentees and mentors who are applying to college or are in college currently.
