Esther Omolola Receives Women’s Media Group Scholarship

Mentee Esther Omolola Receives the Women’s Media Group Scholarship for Girls Write Now

Women’s Media Group (WMG), a NYC-based nonprofit association of women leaders in media and publishing, has awarded one $2,000 scholarship to Girls Write Now mentee Esther Omolola. Esther is a senior at Hunter College majoring in Media Studies with a minor in Africana Studies.

The scholarship was open to a Girls Write Now current mentee or mentee alum who is a rising college junior or senior. In addition to the scholarship money, Esther will also have the option to join WMG as a member with full benefits (including networking and programming opportunities) for three years, with all fees waived for this period.

As an aspiring media professional, I am grateful to receive the WMG scholarship and to learn from accomplished women in their community.
