Get in Touch & Get Involved!
From our mailing list to mentoring and more,
join the Girls Write Now movement.
I want to join the community as a mentee.
Girls Write Now mentees are woman-identifying and/or gender-expansive young adults in high school, college and beyond who are passionate about learning and growing as writers, communicators and professionals. Be a part of our community and create with a dedicated mentor by your side!
I want to join the community as a mentor.
Girls Write Now mentors are professional women and gender-expansive adults who rely on strong writing skills in their professions across a wide range of industries. Mentors work with mentees in a structured one-to-one relationship on set curriculum to produce original writing and hone college and career readiness skills with guidance from the Girls Write Now team and community.
I’m an alum and want to reconnect.
Once you’ve been a part of a Girls Write Now program, you’re invited to be part of our community for life. As an alum, you have access to job and submission opportunities, writing contests and Girls Write Now events. Mentee alumni age 25 or older can apply to become mentors for our Writing 360 or Writing Works programs. Mentee alumni age 24 or under can apply to become a mentee in any program!
I’m an educator who’d like to refer mentees.
If you work in education at the high school or college level, you know the importance of writing and mentoring. Please join our network of teachers and send some students our way!
I’d like to apply for a Girls Write Now job or fellowship.
Looking for more purpose-driven work? We are a passionate and multi-generational community with a 25-year track record of success in arts education and amplifying diverse voices—and we’re always growing!
I want to teach and inspire as a guest speaker/teaching artist.
At Girls Write Now, we have been honored to work with incredible speakers and teachers who pass on their passion and wisdom through multi-genre, multimedia, professional development and wellness workshops and events. Thank you for your interest in working with our diverse, multi-generational community of writers!
I’d like to submit work to Stories by Girls Write Now.
When you share your story, you have the power to change minds, heal communities and impact the world. This program year, Girls Write Now will be accepting story submissions—of all genres and mediums—from active and alum mentors and mentees only.
I’d like to donate or fundraise to support Girls Write Now.
Over the past year, our nation’s education gap has deepened into a chasm, and Girls Write Now has been there to fill it. 25 years ago Girls Write Now was founded on the principles of social-emotional learning. In a time like this, it is clear how much our young writers need and deserve to be developing their whole selves. That is what we do at Girls Write Now: build confidence, trust, community and lifelong bonds—with writing as the gateway.
If you’d like to donate or fundraise, thank you. The individual and institutional support we receive changes the trajectory of writers’ lives and empowers the next generation of leaders.
My organization would like to become a corporate partner.
Inspired by a sense of urgency to elevate diverse talent across industries, Girls Write Now proudly aligns with academic, community-based and corporate institutions to build customized holistic partnerships. Together, Girls Write Now Agents of Change are shaping the future of women and gender-expansive writers and leaders across industries—through Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, Diversity Inclusion, Publicity and more.
I’d like to become a patron and join the Girls Write Now Circle.

I’m a licensed mental health professional and am interested in becoming a wellness advisor.
Wellness Advisors are seasoned licensed mental health professionals who provide Girls Write Now mentors and staff with guidance in handling sensitive issues and difficult situations they may encounter with mentees. Additionally, Wellness Advisors help train mentors in teen mental health and social-emotional youth development.
I’m interested in becoming a college guide.
College guides are volunteers who help our mentees with the college application process. They can lead workshops on how to craft components of college and scholarship applications and/or meet one-to-one with high school juniors and seniors and their mentors to provide advice and feedback on application materials and the college decision making process.
I’m a member of the press and want to connect.
At Girls Write Now, it’s our job to elevate diverse voices. Our friends in the press and media are an important part of that work. If you’d like to feature the amazing original writing created at Girls Write Now, a mentor, mentee or a leader in the community, please get in touch!
I want to join the mailing list.
