Girls Write Now Community Experiences

At Friday Night Salons, you engage with notable authors and media makers in a warm, supportive environment. Designed as an antidote to writing in isolation, guest artists share their professional journey, an excerpt of their book or a sample of their digital media, and writing prompts while playing music they used as inspiration for their own writing. Salons demystify the writing process and reveal the person behind the book. Participants share their work and the salon ends with a Q & A. Quite simply, Salons are 75 minutes of creativity, bravery, and community. Authors often tell us the salon is their favorite stop on their book tour, and participants have grown their prompts into published work.
