Beauty
By Genesis Cespedes
This poem emphasizes the beauty of tomorrow’s uncertainty. Anything could happen tomorrow so we might as well just do whatever our hearts desire and enjoy the ride until it lasts!
The future holds the unknown in a crystal ball Beautiful sorrowful nights that I can’t recall How can I stay miserable when there’s so much beauty in the world? Time elapses like a violent waterfall Whatever happens tomorrow we’ve had today, after all The future holds the unknown in a crystal ball The golden waves driven to the shore The little kids as happy as the sun How can I be miserable when there’s so much beauty in the world? The unknown is daunting, but never knowing is even worse The clock is ticking, I better make this second worth The future holds the unknown in a crystal ball I swim through the wildly beautiful waters of life It’s all in the sky, the rain, the air, the love How can I stay miserable when there’s so much beauty in the world? Tomorrow’s uncertainty is one of life’s thrills I urge to make the days count, time won’t be still Because the future holds the unknown in a crystal ball So how can I stay miserable when there’s so much beauty in the world?
