Millennials vs Gen Z: the generational battle made famous by TikTok. But can we at least agree to fight the system together?

We thought the trend on TikTok was funny, and since one of us is a millennial and the other from Gen Z, we figured we’d have some fun and laugh at ourselves after a rough 2020. Side parts or middle parts? Who made the internet what it is today? In the end, does it truly matter? As long as we’re working together to make this world a better place. Millennials and Gen Z are here to leave a lasting impact for future generations.

Amber N. Persaud is a resident of Brooklyn, NY. She is a sophomore in high school. When she graduates she hopes to attend Carnegie Mellon University or New York University and plans to major in Clinical Psychology/Pre-Law Studies. Rachel Prater
Rachel Prater is a writer and editor living in New York City. She holds a Masters in Creative Writing, Fiction from Arcadia University, and studied abroad in both London and Edinburgh. Rachel works in children’s book publishing as a Production Editor, overseeing publication of 50+ titles annually. She enjoys traveling, reading (of course!), listening to true crime podcasts, and watching paranormal shows with her two cats. When not working or attending a Girls Write Now event, Rachel can be found volunteering behind the counter at Word Up Community Bookshop in Washington Heights.
