This was written in a bout of nostalgia. Looking at old family albums, and how my relatives were a sea away, but it felt much further and I wondered what time will do to us.

Artist‘s Statement
Hi! I’m Cathy, I’m a bookworm and artist at heart(in other words my perfect evening is wrapped up in a ya novel or a thoughtful reverie), and for a long time I was stuck in my silence, writing helped me express my thoughts that I otherwise can not. This is for all those suffering from the scars the pandemic and their past left behind, finding peace in their journey to healing, and about treasuring the humanity that binds us and remembering that only together we can build a better future.

A World of Glass
I’ve always had glasses, to me it offers me separation, protection in a world full of chaos and injustices. This is a poem about overcoming vulnerabilities, seeing the unfiltered world, and molding a better world.
