In this piece, I tried to incorporate memories from my childhood with some of today’s environmental issues by comparing two alternate storylines– one of my memories growing up, and another displaying climate crises– over time.

Greta is a high school senior who is interested in learning more about how to get better at writing and express herself using words. She is a part of her school’s field hockey and track teams, and also enjoys doing things like reading, making music, learning new things, doing crafts, and baking in her free time. She hopes to someday get to travel the world and get to see and learn about lots of different places and people. She loves to read and explore different genres, but her favorites are YA Fantasy and sometimes Historical Fiction.

Artist‘s Statement
This year, I focused on learning how to create work in a way I hadn’t before by trying out new styles of writing and stepping out of my comfort zone. I have tried to find my voice in writing, something I struggle with when writing creatively, by creating pieces about things I care about and tying my life experiences into bigger patterns. Through my writing, I hope to find my voice as a storyteller and be able to create positive changes in the world.
