An Ode to Pan-Africanism
This poem is dedicated to culture, lost identities, and the truth that it's never too late to connect back to your roots that were taken away from you.
Gyana is an avid reader and writer. She has spent most of her life filling notebooks with short stories and TV show ideas, and fell down a writing hole that she never want to get out of! She thought that everyone expected you to just follow one path, one passion, but she decided to love a bunch of things.
Gyana has great passions for journalism, novel writing, book publishing, marketing, UX/UI design… the list goes on and on. She also has been having fun exploring and jumping out of her comfort zone by trying new careers like software engineering and technical writing.
She is currently a rising senior at Franklin & Marshall College, majoring in Creative Writing. During high school, she was able to work with amazing journalists and editors at Bloomberg News and City Limits Magazine, and realized that above anything else, her greatest goal was to keep sharing stories and connecting with people.
This poem is dedicated to culture, lost identities, and the truth that it's never too late to connect back to your roots that were taken away from you.
