
Marquisha Mathis

Marquisha Mathis is a senior at Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi who will be graduating in May 2021. Throughout her college years, she has gained skills in journalism, broadcasting, public relations, public speaking, editing, producing and being a leader which has given her the enthusiasm and joy about the future ahead. She has written numerous articles for The Collegian (college newspaper) and just recently she has finished an internship with Mississippi Magazine and is currently a freelance writer for The Jackson Free Press. She’s a Dean’s List Scholar (2018-2021), as well as a leadership scholar recipient (2017-2021). She has earned a number of awards including ones for Best Sales Presentation, Outstanding Feature Writer and Outstanding MCTV member. Outside of school, she has helped nonprofit organizations with video content. She is very passionate about what she does and continues to find ways to perfect her craft.
