Ronald D’Amico
Dr. Ronald D’Amico is an Infectious Disease Physician with over 25 years of clinical experience in HIV Medicine. He has worked in various clinical settings in the US and the UK, and throughout the African continent. Currently, Ron is a senior Medical Director in HIV Drug Development at ViiV Healthcare and oversees clinical trials evaluating innovative approaches to the treatment of HIV disease including the development of long-acting injectable therapies. He is a trustee of the Raymond and Gloria Naftali Foundation whose mission, in part, aligns with those of Girls Write Now. Ron is thrilled that Girls Write Now is honoring Gloria Naftali with a posthumous award. Gloria believed passionately in the power of art and creativity in fueling the agency of girls and young women to transform and create a better world for all humanity.
