How to Not Do the Most: Celebrity Sighting

by Jaida Dent & Jalisa Wright

Have you ever done the most when seeing a celebrity? Well, we have just tips for you to help your composure together!

Celebrity Sighting A How to On Not Doing the Most

So you think you saw a celebrity?

You might have.

Make a Google check first and then come back here.

You did see one? Great!

Now, we are going to tell you how not to do the most. Doing the most is inevitable; it happens to everyone, even the most composed people who are bottling up something deep inside. Doing the most can happen as a result of extreme excitement where you forget all the house training that your mama gave you.

Here are a couple of Dos and Don’ts when meeting your fave.

Dos and Don’ts

Do: Act like a normal human being, like you were 30 seconds before seeing them.

Don’t: Not know the person’s name. You should know their name. It’s embarrassing when you don’t.

Do: Breathe through your nostrils. Make sure you have oxygen flowing through the body.

Don’t: Scream. Why are you screaming? It’s just a person. There’s no need for that.

Do: Dial a friend. Get yourself together; you might need some assistance.

Don’t: Go live on social media. All of Facebook doesn’t need to see this right now. And they don’t care.

Do: Eat something. “You’re not you when you’re hungry.”- Snickers

Don’t: Stalk the celebrity. They need privacy, too.

Do: Be polite when you see them. Why are you giving them an attitude? They don’t want that.

Don’t: Yell their name in the street. Ayo, why are you so loud???

Now that you have successfully read through all the dos and don’ts, you are fully prepared to act your best when having that random interaction with a celebrity.

This list is essential, but what is even more essential is your dignity. Don’t lose it while you’re in these streets.

Process

Our inspiration for this drew a lot from our own personal experiences when seeing and meeting celebrities ourselves. We struggled with a comedy concept for a long time because we were just unsure of what the idea for our piece was going to be. We watched a lot of comedy sketch videos online and videos on how to write them. We really thought about the way sketch ideas are used and how they are perceived not only by the audience, but also by the comedians themselves. Key and Peele were definitely people we thought about and the way they could often make comedy out of social issues and be funny but make commentary as well. We then settled on this idea, which is something that relates to both of us.
