The pandemic came with many dark days, but in the midst of it all there was also some light out there as symbolic of the sunset in this photo back in June, 2020.

Process

In capturing this photo, no tools were used! What inspired this piece was my desire to capture something uplifting during such a rough time, not only in my life, but in the lives of everyone else at the height of the pandemic. I personally love sunsets as they bring a sense of peace whenever I am feeling down–which is also what I wanted to incorporate in this piece. The light from the sun is meant to reflect the light that exists on the other side of every battle. Along the way, particularly as I took this photo, I learned the values of hope and strength.
