On April 14th, 2012, Leila Ambrosino was seen for the very last time. A body was found days later. Lucas Benton was charged with her murder. Years later, the truth comes out.

Process

Originally, Nevin had introduced me (Viktoria) to screenplays. Nevin wrote a free write during one of our meetings and we stuck with it. My interest in true crime and Nevin’s story had led us to expanding upon what she wrote, and turning it into our own fictional true crime story. In the midst of writing our screenplay, we had fallen into a hole of podcasts. Neither of us had done one before and they seemed interesting. Our last pair piece was a written story, this time we chose to write our story and voice it- literally. After looking into what platforms we could use, as well as writing our script, we gave our podcast a name, and our speakers personalities. We chose to tell a story through voice, and had a fun time learning how to write that way, and turn our writing into a podcast.
