No Brainer: Podcast Trailer

By Grace Cuddihy and Caroline Shifke

This is our trailer for No Brainer, a podcast about the ins and outs of living with chronic neurological conditions.

Music Credit: “Folksy” from Anchor
(Intro music — calm and folky sound. Music dims into the background.)

GRACE: Imagine being medi-vacced out of the woods on a camping trip.

CAROLINE: Or getting covered in purple powder and stuck in a sweat chamber for 5 hours.

GRACE: I’m Grace

CAROLINE: And I’m Caroline

GRACE: And you’re listening to No Brainer, our podcast about the ins and outs of living with chronic neurological conditions.

CAROLINE: From diagnoses to daily habits, we’ll talk about how our invisible illnesses affect our lives.

GRACE: Keep your eye out for new episodes of No Brainer. Thank you for listening!

(Speech fades, music picks up)

Process

At our first pair meeting, we were excited to discover that we have one very significant thing in common—we both have an invisible chronic illness. We quickly decided that we wanted to create art together about themes related to living with invisible illnesses and disabilities. Recording episode one—about diagnoses—came first, and the trailer came later, once we had a sense of themes, style and tone.
