Mentee Alum Erika Jing Wins Auburn Witness Prize

Mentee alum Erika Jing recently won the Auburn Witness Prize for her poem, “Follow.”

Auburn, AL – August 5, 2024

Girls Write Now celebrates mentee alum Erika Jing for winning the 2024 Auburn Witness Poetry Prize Honoring Jake Adam York. Jing will read her award-winning poem, “Follow,” in a reading presented by the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art at Auburn University this October, alongside contest judge Victoria Chang.

Jing’s submission, as well as the runners-up and honorable mentions, will appear together in Volume 57.3 of Southern Humanities Review, which will be published in the Fall of 2024.

Girls Write Now was such a wonderful resource for me as a young writer.
