Girls Write Now is thrilled to welcome Laura Wynne to the team as our new Director of Programs! Laura joins us with a background in youth development and a love of the written word. She holds a Masters of Social Work from Columbia University with a focus on youth program development and evaluation. She is also a Comparative Literature graduate of Fordham University where she wrote her undergraduate thesis on the role of Dublin’s Abbey Theatre on developing Irish culture throughout the 20th century. Laura has extensive experience with mentoring programs, most recently as Director of the Workplace Mentoring Center at Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC. In her free time, Laura is active with several volunteer organizations, including Camp AmeriKids, a summer camp program for children affected by HIV, and The Blue Hill Troupe, a NYC based musical charity.
