Small voice. That’s so loud, how can it be so small? 

Cover your ears and listen to the music (Angel). Listen not only because of the new look but because of what is offered. Perspective. Experience. Time. Open your ears before it’s too late to listen to the real her. She will give you the world she lives in, from her eyes, ears, and voicebox, canceling out all the unnecessary noise going into your ears. 

To create a breakthrough listening experience. 

Angel has a unique background. She has proven to offer you a sound like no other. A sound that will flood your ears. The sound of all the experiences that she has been through from then till now. Your ears will be covered (away from the world for some time). 

To help block outside noise. 

You will be able to immerse yourself in the music (Angel). Tune out those other sounds and truly listen. Once you do, you will understand why she is the way she is today. You won’t know her. You will know the real her. The one that just needs someone to listen to her. You can only block out her sound for so long. It’s harder to do now because her sound will blast through as many ears as it can. 

The only thing that needs listening in life. Listen to the experiences that make Angel who she is today. Angel produces sound with ultra-low distortion across the audible range from q u i e t to 

L O U D. Cover your ears to STOP outside voices getting in. Pressing PAUSE means stopping Angel’s voice from getting in. The world has been on p a u s e for too long. Press PLAY because sitting back without listening for too long will keep the place quiet, not LOUD. Listen through your ears. Listen to hear what it’s like to be me. 

To produce sound. 

Angel has all the weight lifted off her shoulders. She is ready to speak up (spit the words right out her mouth), something she feared doing for so long. Her sound will be loud and QUIET. It is her voice. It is no longer killing her not to be heard because the gift of your ears in LISTENING MODE will allow her to be heard by everyone who listens to music (Angel). After all, this sound travels through the world, covered ear to covered ear.

Process

I was inspired by a few of the items I always have on my desk, which are headphones. I use them often, and I take them everywhere. I got the idea to write a piece about these headphones, but instead of making the headphones the subject, I decided to focus on my voice. I wanted to advertise my voice as the product, so I tried to include phrases similar to what I would see in advertisements from companies like Apple. I was inspired by many of the Girls Write Now workshops I attended and wanted to combine some phrases from the pieces I created in these workshops. In life, I’ve learned that there will always be people who won’t listen to what I have to say, but there will also be those who do listen.
