Voice to Voice: The 2015 Girls Write Now Anthology
Girls Write Now is excited to release this year’s award-winning anthology, Voice to Voice at the Girls Write Now Awards Gala. This literary celebration showcases the girls and their mentors’ best work, from poetry and fiction to screenplays and memoirs. Our girls tackle big issues, such as race relations and abuse, as well current feelings on social media, self-esteem and family dynamics.

From one of the nation’s top after school programs, an acclaimed collection of poetry and prose showcasing the voices of young women and their mentors in a powerful exploration of the theme of “Voice to Voice”. Distinguished twice by the White House as one of the top after-school arts and cultural organizations in the nation, and recently honored by Newsweek in their article on “After school programs that make a difference,” Girls Write Now works to empower underserved teen girls in New York City by pairing them with professional writing mentors. With a foreword by author and journalist, Mariane Pearl, Voice to The Girls Write Now 2015 Anthology showcases the best writing from the mentees and mentors in the program, exploring the theme of “Voice to Voice,” both in our lives and in our writing, through poetry, prose, and essays.
