Process

Stella wrote this song parody some years ago. Stella and Emma met at a library to record Stella singing it. Emma used Adobe Audition to add background music to Stella’s vocals. Stella and Emma worked together to improve the sound and make final edits.

Stella/Twig is a biracial (Greek/Chinese) Spiral-aligned autistic aroace seven-and-a-half-year-old in a seventeen-year-old’s body. She writes short stories both original and fanfic, as well as song parodies. She’s a hardcore Trolls fan, a theater kid, a Tumblr addict and above all a crazy little space elf who exists to paint rainbows on everything in existence, including the establishment. Emma Winters is a writer and communications professional. By day, she works as Content Strategist and Editorial Coordinator for the University Life team at Columbia. At night, she writes fiction and poetry. She shares the fiction with the Underground Young Adult writing group. Much of Emma’s creative writing centers on mental health, family dynamics, and womanhood. When she’s not writing, Emma’s probably reading or torturing herself on a long run. She can’t quit running. It’s the only time new story ideas come to her!
