Worst Days
By Mahdia Tully Carr
Worst Days is a song about love and struggling in its absence.
My worst day is the worst day
Stressed out from the heartbreak
Caught in the same old pattern again
My worst day is the worst pain
Trapped in those memories
Trying to find the sense in the nothings of life
And loving love’s painful,
But it’s alright
I just wish I had something in my life
And loving love’s painful,
But it’s alright
I get a little jealous and it’s all fine
Heartbreak is heartbreak
Can’t change anything
If they didn’t give a damn it doesn’t matter at all
Heartbreak’s the heart’s ache
Torn down to nothing
But you’ve got to get back up again and build that wall
And loving love’s painful,
But it’s alright
I just wish I had something in my life
And loving love’s painful,
But it’s alright
I get a little jealous and it’s all fine
I-I-I
I-I-I
I-I-I
Loving love’s painful,
But it’s alright
I just wish I had something in my life
And loving love’s painful,
But it’s alright
I get a little jealous and it’s all fine
My worst day is the worst day
Process
I wrote this song on my guitar in one of my lower moments. It helped me grapple with some of my feelings in a healthy way when I wasn’t really sure what I felt or where I was going. The song pointed me in a hopeful direction instead of focusing on the more negative aspects of life.
