Lydia Kang, MD is a practicing physician and associate professor of internal medicine at the University of Nebraska. She is the author of fiction, essays, poetry, and nonfiction, including the upcoming young adult novel K-Jane (QuillTree Books) and the bestelling adult historical novel, Opium and Absinthe (Lake Union). Her nonfiction books include Pseudoscience, Quackery, and Patient Zero (Workman Publishing) and her essays and poetry have been published in JAMA, The Linden Review, and Annals of Internal Medicine.
