Athalia Djuhana (she/they) is the Senior Policy Manager of First Gen Empower (FGE). They grew up primarily in rural northeastern Utah, and learned the value of education after being admitted and graduating from UC Berkeley in Political Science and Sociology. As an immigrant student themselves, they hope to help bridge gaps in knowledge other immigrant students face. Athalia has previously worked as a paralegal in patent litigation and finance, as well as having served multiple years as head of legal operations for a 501(c)3 nonprofit whilst in undergrad. Athalia now leads content and development of policy guidance at First Gen Empower.
