Christina Cazanave

Christina Cazanave, MSW, is an Instructor and Director of Internships for the Undergraduate Social Work Department at Saint Leo University. She earned her master's at the University of Central Florida. Before becoming a faculty member, she worked as a social work practitioner for ten years, primarily with at-risk children and teens in the foster care and educational systems. Professor Cazanave's concentration of studies includes macro social work. Her focus includes initiatives within the social work profession to combat social injustices using advocacy and public policy. She is the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Florida chapter Legislative Chair. She is a Association for Community Organization & Social Action (ACOSA) member and trained with Citizen University as a Civic Saturday Fellow. She now leads civic engagement activities within her community. Professor Cazanave's work has been presented at multiple conferences, including the National Association of Social Work – Florida Conference, the Social Work Distance Learning Conference, and the Influencing Social Policy – Macro Conference.
