Kovida Peram is captivated by all forms of storytelling and how they weave beautiful tales especially about social issues and the anecdotes of girlhood. She gobbles up pretty much every form of media—from silly rom-coms to potent biographies. Kovida aspires to have a career at the intersection of sociology and urban studies and written craft, in which she can blend her developing skills in narration and interests in equity for people all around the world.
Artist‘s Statement
I want to make simplistic pieces that people in their adolescent years can relate to. A lot of my work is in relation to my personal experiences, whether it’s fictional or not! Writing through my pieces, I’ve realized how privileged I truly am, and this has certainly made me more aware through this journey.
