Michelle Zheng is an 18-year-old high school senior interested in the intersection of humanities and STEM. She has a passion for writing, exploring the world around her, and dentistry. You can find her cooking or watching television when she's not writing. She hopes to not only improve her writing but also represent those who are underrepresented.
Artist‘s Statement
From a very young age, I have been more of a reader than a writer. It wasn’t until I joined my school newspaper during my sophomore year of high school that I realized how much I love writing. Being able to report on my community and interact with fellow members are two of my favorite elements of journalism. My most favorite element is connecting with my community through my writing pieces. Today, I hope to continue to connect with readers about my culture and experiences in my writing.
