The Committee on Intersectional Voices in Print Editorial (I.V. Edit Print) focuses on traditional print media at Girls Write Now. This committee is dedicated to producing the yearly anthology that showcases the written work of Girls Write Now mentees. The goal is to provide a tangible platform for storytelling, allowing community members to see their work in print and share it with a wider audience. Participants in this group also learn all the steps of the publishing process, including concept development, manuscript preparation, design, printing, and distribution.
The Anthology Committee is now poised to edit submissions from the Girls Write Now community. This is our favorite time of the year and you’ll learn how to edit stories using Chicago Style Manual, which is a great skill to hone! We’ll share the Foreword and Intro (last year it was written by Wicked’s co-writer Winnie Holzman!) and mentees and mentors will read their latest stories.
