The World of Prompts

Virtual

Date: April 14th 2025
Time: 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Event Categories: Community Studios
Facilitators: Holli Harms, Nicole Itkin

In our studios, we will show you how to find prompts everywhere, give you writing prompts to spark your writing, and give you the time to write! Writing prompts in the everyday that inspire creativity, self-reflection, and story. How do we create full, rich characters with motivations, flaws, and desires? We will write together and then read what we have written. We encourage you to share your work, even if it is just one sentence or the idea you are working on.

This month, we’ll explore two kinds of people: Sticky – those who stick to people and slippery – those who slip away. What are the extremes and what are the nuances of both types? We will have prompts to help with this exercise and encourage you to bring in any prompts you feel are suitable to the topic.
