Writing Past the Page: Pushing the Limits of Creativity

This studio is designed to encourage writers to push the limits of creativity through unconventional and explorative means. In this studio we will look at traditional ways in which fiction genres are written and tackle new ways at going about the creative writing process. Attendees will engage with various media, pieces, and methods, as well as have the opportunity to bring to life their own styles and ideas. Attendees will be encouraged to learn and discover how to use the most of their imagination to create stories, develop characters, and delve into world-building.

How thin is the line between dreams and reality? In this month’s studio, we will explore surrealism in fiction writing and other creative means. We will engage in activities discovering how to utilize dreams and imaginative thinking to tell compelling and unique stories that challenges reason and embodies the bizarre.
