About the Event

Through this community studio, we’ll explore different subgenres of fantasy and fiction writing techniques. What is the difference between high fantasy and low fantasy? What happens when you shift the perspective of a story from a third person narrator to a first person narrator? How can fantasy be a tool to re-imagine old stories or invent completely new worlds?

In this studio, we explore fantasy worldbuilding and discuss various categories as a framework for our own worldbuilding endeavors. Participants will collaboratively develop a fantasy world.
