Each session of this Studio will involve looking at pioneering African female & non binary writers and how they rewrote the histories & narratives of their identities. Following this exploration, attendees will be given the space to reflect on the ways their identities have been written or told & rewrite these narratives.

This month, we’ll be looking at Buchi Emecheta & Flora Nwapa and specific excerpts of their work that deconstruct the stereotype of what it means to be a woman in African society.
