About the Event
Tuesday, Nov. 19 9-10 pm ET
virtual event; open to all mentees, mentors, and members
This studio is designed to encourage writers to push the limits of creativity through unconventional and explorative means. In this studio we will look at traditional ways in which fiction genres are written and tackle new ways at going about the creative writing process.
Attendees will engage with various media, pieces, and methods, as well as have the opportunity to bring to life their own styles and ideas. Attendees will be encouraged to learn and discover how to use the most of their imagination to create stories, develop characters, and delve into world-building.
This month, we will analyze common ways in which people come up with story ideas. We will explore methods and starting points of how to go about finding that inspiration for one’s story and navigate planning a story with the foundation of world-building first using our imaginations and the world around us.
