Both Jordan and I have struggled with our mental health and identify as disabled, and this project emerged out of our common goal for disability justice. I act as the host for this segment, directing the conversation. Jordan, as a mentor, provides her life experiences as the basis for our points. Together, we make a compelling case for reform in teacher certifications. I find this project to be a wonderful intersection of our interests, as Jordan works in podcasting full time, and I am an educational activist.- Meril Mousoom
