*Trigger Warning: there are mentions of teenage suicide in this podcast*

In this episode of The Vision Lab: Youth Voices for Change, Lead Incubator Mentee Kunling Wu speaks with John Muir Laws, an internationally-renowned environmentalist, nature journalist, and educator who has been raising awareness of the importance of nature stewardship for the past decades. Having traveled the world seeking natural curiosities, Mr. Laws has seen the beauty of Earth and experienced its therapeutic effects all around him. Through discussing their experiences with teenage mental health and the mission of Project Wild Wellness (a student-led nonprofit founded by Kunling), Kunling and Mr. Laws arrive at better methods to expand the organization and an ultimate definition of nature journaling and its healing effects on people.

In this conversation, you’ll hear how our speakers navigated challenges, found purpose in nature, and built organizations dedicated to helping others reconnect with the world around them.

Host: Kunling Wu
Guest: John Muir Laws, co-founder and president of the Wild Wonder Foundation
