Sanjida’s Style

By Sanjida Sheuba

This video is a representation of my identity and the culture that I come from. It represents one of the things I love most: fashion. Fashion shows everyone who I am as a person. I love wearing certain colors to showcase more of my personality and skin tone. When I look good, I feel good. I hope this video inspires you to change how you look at fashion.

Process

Fashion is something that I love. I like putting my own clothing together and adding my South Asian culture into my style. It represents who I am. I used Canva and candid street shots taken by my friends to create this video. I like to have a snapshot of the things I wear all the time, and I felt accomplished and good about myself after completing this project.

Meet the Pair

MENTEE SANJIDA SHEUBA & MENTOR MEGAN WOOD

Sanjida’s Anecdote: This year, working with my mentor Megan helped me to become a better editor. I realized that the “mistakes” I make in my work are something to be proud of. They help me turn my piece from a brainstorm into creative art. I’ve also learned to admire and be proud of my art.

Megan’s Anecdote: This year, I’ve enjoyed watching Sanjida come into her own as an artist. She’s become a strong, confident writer with a powerful worldview and voice. I’m honored to read her work and watch her grow into a talented writer.
