Commitment for Mentors on Demand
Our expectations are simple:
- Maintain an accurate availability schedule
- Complete at least two mentoring sessions per year
- Attend one required check-in per year

How can I apply to be a Mentor on Demand?
Complete an application any time. We typically review applications in April, August, and December, or on an as-needed basis. Once your application is reviewed, you’ll be invited for an interview. If you are an active Journey Mentor, simply complete the Mentor on Demand application—no need to interview.

How do I find a Mentor on Demand?
You can become a mentee and access Mentors on Demand by creating a Girls Write Now account if you don’t already have one. Once you log into the portal, click Request a Mentor on Demand in the left sidebar, then select an Area of Focus, and book a time!

Can I be a Mentor on Demand AND a Journey Mentor?
Journey Mentoring is a significant commitment, so we ask that Journey Mentors focus on their individual mentee for the cycle, but Journey Mentors are free to become Mentors on Demand if they would like to step away from Journeys for a Cycle or longer. It’s a great way to stay connected!
