GWN Board Chair, Kamy Wicoff did something she’s never done before–dance on stage, to celebrate her 40th and raise funds for the amazing girls of Girls Write Now. Kamy practiced for weeks with Deborah Siegel, Martha Southgate and Amy Brill who rocked it to a Missy Elliot song! As if that weren’t enough, Kamy decided to sing, too, and the amazing Suzzy Roche backed her on on guitar. Suzzy also sang, Connie Hale (of Sin and Syntax) did a hula, the novelist Alexandra Enders tangoed–and Kamy’s two darling boys performed a Bollywood number with members of the St. Ann’s second grade class…
If you didn’t get a chance to come out–and you’d like to see the $4,000 we raised turn into $5,00 for the next generation of writers–you can still make a donation toward our spring appeal.
