On Sunday, June 8, 2025, Girls Write Now hosted our first-ever stand-up comedy showcase: Let Me Finish! Girls Write Now Voices of Comedy. It was an afternoon full of laughs, empowerment, and celebration!

This culmination of our Power of Punchlines Journey, this event featured original sets from mentees Inica Kotasthane and Camilla Spillmann as they explored comedy as a tool for storytelling and change. Teaching artist and comedian Hollie Harper opened the event and was joined by her friends in the comedy scene who each performed a short set: Alexis Bradby, Marcela Onyango, and Yanjaa Westgate.
