Jenna Bush Hager, co-host of TODAY with Hoda & Jenna and Girls Write Now Founder & Executive Director Maya Nussbaum will be in conversation about the power of reading—for all ages—on NBCU’s “The More You Know,” a PSA initiative that has included Steph Curry and John Legend with the goal to spark dialogue to create change. In an episode streaming this June, the two change-making women will talk about ways to foster strong literature skills and a love of reading in people of all ages.

“My number one goal with this new format is, let’s get people talking about the important issues and spark a dialogue that leads to change,” Hilary Smith, Executive Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility for NBCUniversal, told The Hollywood Reporter in a November 2022 interview about launching the conversation series. Our deep thanks to NBCU for your incredible support on all levels.

Jenna Bush Hager is a longtime supporter of debut and diverse authors and popular reading programs. The co-host of TODAY with Hoda & Jenna founded TODAY’s book club, “Read With Jenna” in March 2019. Each month, Hager chooses a different book to feature and has so far recommended 52 books to her audience. The books cover a wide array of topics, and are written by a diverse set of authors, including Girls Write Now teaching artist Qian Julie Wang, 2021 Girls Write Now anthology foreword author Abi Daré, Naima Coster, and mentor alum Emma Straub.
