Narrative Poems at the First Workshop of GWN15

GWN’s first workshop of the year explored the secrets and mysteries of narrative poetry. In the morning, Craft Talk Author Dorothea Lasky told us how she feels when people find something special in her poetry (magic!) and what it was like to be in a supportive writing community (essential!), while in the afternoon, Craft Talk Author Camille Rankine shared her passion for poetry and practical advice for living and publishing as a professional Poet.  The day was extra special as many of our mentors and mentees wrote with each other for the very first time. We can’t wait to see how inspiration strikes in the next workshop where we will create historical fiction, on November 10th!
