The pair trees give mentoring pairs at Girls Write Now the ability to choose their own adventure by selecting the time commitment that works best for their schedule and by choosing how many pieces of writing they would like to submit for the year. Pairs will select from the following pair trees at the beginning of the year. Note: these are minimum requirements. You are always welcome to come to more events and submit more writing!

Oak

Time Commitment:
8+ hours a month

Attendance:
1 core group meeting / month (75 min)
2-3 mentoring sessions / month (3h)
2-3 workshops or events/month (16+ workshops/events total)
Mentors: includes 4 PD Sessions (Friday evenings)

Submissions:
At least 3 pieces of multimedia, multi-genre work


Willow

Time Commitment:
6+ hours a month

Attendance:
1 core group meeting / month (75 min)
2-3 mentoring session / month (3h)
1-2 workshops or events/month (8+ workshops/events total)
Mentors: includes 4 PD Sessions (Friday evenings)

Submissions:
At least 2 pieces of multimedia, multi-genre work


Laurel

Time Commitment:
3+ hours a month

Attendance:
1 core group meeting / month (75 min)
1-2 mentoring sessions / month (1-2h)
1 workshop or event every other month (4+ workshops/events total)
Mentors: includes 4 PD Sessions (Friday evenings)

Submissions:
At least 1 piece of multimedia, multi-genre work
